Jonathan’s 17-year military journey began in high school. Upon graduating from high school, he enlisted into the US Army where he proudly served his country. Following his enlistment in the US Army, he joined the Navy and was probably serving as petty officer 1st class at Ft. Meade, National Security Agency at the time of his death.

Jonathan earned numerous medals and awards including the National Defense Service medal, Good Conduct medal, Joint Service Achievement medal, Navy/McAchievement medal, and Joint Service Commendation medal.
