Matthew was stationed at Fort Bragg in the Special Forces training program. The SFQC assessment was grueling. He passed and was invited to train as an Echo (communications) in the Special Forces.

We were so proud of his achievements in the short two years he was in the Army. After basic training, he earned his sharpshooter badge, his paratrooper red beret, and a perfect 300 in physical testing.

Matthew loved being a soldier. He is forever in our hearts and minds. We miss him terribly.
