John was a graduate of GA Tech University in Atlanta GA and a member of TKE fraternity.
He was a pilot who flew the CH-53D helicopter and had served in the Marine Corps since 12/1969. He was killed during Operation Fortress Lightening on Mindoro Island, Phillippines 10/21/1977.
He was a man who loved his job, that helicopter and the Corps. OOO RAH!
