Hundreds participate in Gold Star Family Memorial March

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – Hundreds of local family members of our country’s fallen heroes participated in the Gold Star Family Memorial March to the Liberty Bowl on Friday.

The event was organized by The Woody Williams Foundation, the AutoZone Liberty Bowl, and Simmons Bank.

The goal of the event is to honor the families’ sacrifice.

An event organizer told Action News 5 that about 300 family members participate in the annual festivities.
