Katie Howard is an operational and executive leader with more than 20 years of experience spanning military service and complex national and international civilian operations. She brings disciplined execution, accountability, and a mission-first mindset to her work supporting the Woody Williams Foundation.

Katie joined the United States Marine Corps at the age of 17, choosing service early and committing herself to a standard of excellence that has defined her career. Before her enlistment, she competed at a high level as a semi-professional rugby player with the Detroit Women’s Rugby Team —an experience that reinforced teamwork, resilience, and mental toughness. She went on to serve honorably during Operation Iraqi Freedom, conducting high-risk security operations as a Vehicle Commander responsible for security and convoy protection. Her leadership under pressure earned her six Letters of Recommendation and Commendation during her service, reflecting exceptional judgment, reliability, and the ability to lead decisively in demanding environments.

Following her military service, Katie built a career leading large-scale, multi-site organizations across the United States and internationally, operating in high-tempo, 24/7 environments. She has successfully built operations from the ground up, managed thousands of employees, developed leaders, and transformed underperforming operations into high-performing teams through structure, mentorship, and accountability. Known for her drive, enthusiasm, and people-focused leadership style, she thrives when surrounded by hard chargers and strong mentors while working toward meaningful outcomes.

Katie values family, embraces challenges, and is deeply motivated to make a positive difference. She considers it an honor to support the mission of the Woody Williams Foundation and is committed to preserving the legacy of service, sacrifice, and patriotism. For her, this work represents continued service—ensuring that what matters most is protected, respected, and carried forward for future generations.
