SFC James joined the US Army in 2009 as a 13B, and was deployed to Iraq in participation of Operation Inherent Resolve.
He served with the 82nd Airborne Division from 2009-2013, the 101st Airborne Division from 2013-2018 and the Columbia Recruiting Battalion, Asheville Company, Hickory Army Recruiting office until 2022.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 14 years and their 2 girls.
